Gold’s Gym Armenia legacy

Gold's Gym Armenia has a proud legacy of promoting health and fitness in Yerevan since its first location opened in 2008. In August of that year, we welcomed our first members, who embraced the healthy lifestyle and diverse range of services we offered. As pioneers in the fitness industry, we were the first to open an Olympic pool in Yerevan, a significant investment that underscored our commitment to providing top-tier facilities.

Building on our success,  we expanded our presence in December 2014 by opening a second location in Yerevan, providing even more residents with access to our high-quality fitness services.

Continuing our growth,  in 2016, we opened a new location in the Avan district, bringing us even closer to our health enthusiasts.

Gold’s Gym legacy

The US fitness chain Gold's Gym was founded in 1965 in Venice, California by Joe Gold. Gold, a veteran of the then still young bodybuilding scene, developed into a successful businessman over the years. He also lived and embodied the spirit of the 1950s-1980s bodybuilding community.

Joe Gold became a fatherly friend and mentor to well-known athletes such as  Arnold Schwarzenegger and Francesco 'Franco' Columbu,whom he always inspired and promoted.The Venice location became the epitome of the US bodybuilding movement and its 'spirit' in the years that followed. To this day, it enjoys the status of a cult site
